Sam van Zoest is a Dutch filmmaker. He studied Film & Television at the University of Edinburgh. Since his return to the Netherlands he has built audiovisual installations, made short films and documentaries. He also created an interactive film, Grandfather’s Century, in which the viewer gets to decide the fate of humanity. Together with Annick Sickinghe, he made the documentary film LATER, about the late effects of childhood cancer. Currently, Sam is working on a short fiction film about a girl on Terschelling who meets the love of her life through a message in a bottle, which is based on a true story. Sam is also writing his first novel.
